LG outs new Vacuum Robot with Self Voice Over Diagnostic smarts

LG has rolled out its new vacuum cleaner, the VR6172LVM Vacuum Robot that comes with an interesting feature- Smart Diagnostic. Apart form doing the usual chore of making your home clean, it has a new Self Voice Over Diagnostic feature which makes it its own physician. There is a dedicated button called “Smart Diagnostic” and when you press it for 3 seconds, the robot vacuum will make a 30 second or 50cm round trip and do a self diagnostic analysis of its own apparatus. In the process it will check up to 14 different kinds of components and will instantly tell you what is wrong and what is that you need to fix.
LG has long been in the business of making intelligent home appliances. It has had an active role in the ongoing smartphone frenzy but still hasn’t sidelined its home electronic appliance lineup. We earlier featured a Vacuum cleaner which came encrusted with Swarovski crystals. That shouldn’t come as a surprise because in the past we have practically seen every gadget which was been decked by these shiny crystals. I would want my home cleaning appliance to be chic, stylish and a performer but never bejeweled! But the makers here clearly seemed to have a different opinion.
Another interesting Vacuum cleaner that we walked about before was the Neato XV-11, a robotic cleaner which was equipped with laser to avoid obstacles while dusting the floor. Also owing to its Room Positioning System and the laser ups, it could easily scan paths.
