Saudi Royal Family To Construct World’s Tallest Building, The Kingdom Tower

One of the richest and the most affluent legacies in the world, the Saudi Royal Family, has now unveiled its plans of constructing the world’s tallest building in the form of the all new, The Kingdom Tower, that will rise about one mile in height and will cost a whopping $19.61 billion. The Kingdom tower will be comprised of a staggering 275 floors and will end up being twice as tall as the current tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. This entire highly ambitious project will be sole financed by the Kingdom Holding Company owned by the Saudi Royal Family.

The proposed Kingdom Tower will be comprised of hotels, offices, luxury apartment as well as a shopping center and the entire construction process has already been  awarded to the talents of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, a U.S based company, that was also the hand behind the magnificent Burj Khalifa. The height of the tower itself will be so incredible that it will take about 12 minutes to reach the top floor of the Kingdom Tower via an elevator. This marvel of architecture will occupy about 12 million cubic square feet of interior space that is about 12 times more than Number One Canada Water in Canary Wharf, London. The Kingdom Tower will be built by Emaar and will be located outside the Red Sea port city of Jeddah, while being able to accommodate as many as 80.000 occupants.
